After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, your Boston adventure sets sail! Step aboard the elegant Spirit of Boston or the sleek Odyssey for an unforgettable cruise through Boston Harbor, where history and maritime splendor come to life.

As you glide across the water, your expert captain will guide you to the best views of the Tall Ships, those majestic sailing vessels that turn the harbor into a floating museum. A delicious lunch is included on board, giving you time to relax, dine, and enjoy the scenery as Boston’s harbor unfolds around you.

Whether you’re a history buff or simply love the sea, today is a perfect blend of learning, leisure, and discovery.

After an exciting afternoon exploring the majestic Tall Ships and soaking in the sights and sounds of Boston Harbor, the adventure continues at the vibrant Quincy Market where you’ll get to enjoy dinner on your own!

For over 250 years, this historic marketplace has been at the heart of Boston life—and now it’s your turn to experience it. Feel the cobblestones under your feet as you wander through a bustling hub of sights, sounds, and flavors. Street performers energize the plaza with music and magic, while food vendors tempt you with everything from classic New England clam chowder to bold, globally-inspired dishes.

With more than 100 unique shops, carts, and local artisans, you’ll have no shortage of treasures to discover—or treats to taste. And don’t miss a visit to Faneuil Hall, the iconic meeting place since 1742. Explore the lively marketplace on the first floor, then head upstairs to the historic debate hall where fiery speeches helped shape a nation.

Whether you’re dining, shopping, or just soaking it all in, Quincy Market is a feast for the senses and a perfect cap to your Boston day.

Day 5

After a wonderful breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to lace up your walking shoes and step into the pages of American history. This morning, we’re joined by a passionate Step-On Guide who will lead us on a powerful journey through Boston’s revolutionary roots on the Freedom Trail!

The Freedom Trail is more than just a 2.5-mile path—it’s a living storybook of the American Revolution. As we walk and ride along this iconic route, we’ll visit sites where rebels plotted, patriots marched, and a new nation was born.

Our first stop is the legendary Old North Church, the oldest standing church in Boston and a beacon of rebellion. It was here, on the night of April 18, 1775, that Sexton Robert Newman climbed into the steeple and held two lanterns high—“One if by land, two if by sea”—signaling that the British were on the move. That silent flicker of light ignited a revolution and set Paul Revere on his immortal midnight ride.

Next, we’ll visit the nearby Paul Revere House, a beautifully preserved 17th-century home nestled in Boston’s North End. Walk through the very rooms where Paul Revere lived, and uncover the story of a man who risked everything for liberty. Discover how this skilled silversmith became a trusted messenger of the revolution, riding by night to spread word of British troop movements from Boston to New York and beyond. You’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the courage, ingenuity, and urgency of those pivotal moments that changed the course of history.

This afternoon, we trade revolution for revelation as we cross the Charles River into Cambridge, Massachusetts—a place where tradition and innovation collide in the most inspiring way. Our step-on guide will lead us through Cambridge and historic Harvard University. With its ivy-covered buildings and timeless cobblestone paths, Harvard University welcomes you into its 17th-century roots. But don’t be fooled by the old-world charm—this campus crackles with energy, curiosity, and discovery.

Founded in 1636, Harvard is the oldest university in the United States, and its alumni list reads like a roll call of presidents, poets, philosophers, and pioneers. Stroll through Harvard Yard, pass under the shadow of Widener Library, and rub the foot of the John Harvard Statue—if you believe in a little Ivy League luck.
After soaking up centuries of brilliance and beauty, we’ll cap off the day with a delicious dinner at a local Cambridge restaurant. Then, we’ll return to the hotel for a relaxing evening, full of stories, memories, and maybe a little awe at all the footsteps we’ve followed today.

Day 6

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, get ready to dive headfirst into one of the most electrifying chapters of American history. This morning, we head to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, where the past doesn’t just sit behind glass—it leaps to life on the water.

Climb aboard an authentic replica of an 18th-century sailing vessel and become part of the rebellion. You won’t just learn about the Boston Tea Party—you’ll live it. Join a fiery colonial town meeting in the Meeting House, rally alongside the Sons & Daughters of Liberty, and even come face-to-face with Samuel Adams himself, your passionate patriot guide. With dramatic reenactments, interactive exhibits, and stunning multimedia presentations, you’ll be swept up in the events of December 16, 1773, the night that lit the fuse of the American Revolution.

Be sure to visit the Robinson Tea Chest, the only known surviving tea chest from the original Boston Tea Party—an artifact that traveled from China to Boston Harbor, and now rests here as a silent witness to revolution.

After a lunch break on your own (don’t worry—there are plenty of great options along the waterfront), the excitement continues with a thrilling whale watch adventure you’ll never forget.

Board the New England Aquarium Whale Watch Cruise and set sail for the Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, one of the world’s most active whale feeding grounds. Keep your eyes on the horizon as humpbacks breach, finbacks glide, and minkes surface right before your eyes. Along the way, expert naturalists will share fascinating facts about these gentle giants and the diverse marine life that thrives in these nutrient-rich waters.

As the sun dips lower, we’ll head back to land and enjoy a delicious group dinner at a local Boston restaurant—a perfect ending to a day packed with action, discovery, and unforgettable memories.

Return to the hotel tonight with stories to tell and a deeper connection to the history, wildlife, and spirit of New England.

Day 7

Enjoy one last breakfast at the hotel before we set out for a truly unforgettable finale to our time in Boston. This morning, we visit one of the city’s most iconic and awe-inspiring landmarks: the USS Constitution Museum and Ship—home to the legendary “Old Ironsides.”

Launched in 1797 and never defeated in battle, the USS Constitution stands as a proud symbol of American strength, courage, and resilience. She earned her nickname during the War of 1812 when cannonballs were said to bounce off her thick wooden hull, as if she were made of iron. As you step aboard, you’re not just walking onto a ship—you’re stepping into the heart of American naval history.

Explore the USS Constitution Museum, where fascinating exhibits and hands-on experiences bring the ship’s epic story to life. Feel the rumble of cannon fire, hoist the sails, and discover what daily life was like for the sailors who served aboard this mighty vessel over 200 years ago.

Then, climb aboard the nearby USS Cassin Young, a heroic World War II destroyer that braved fierce battles in the Pacific. This self-guided tour offers a glimpse into mid-20th-century naval warfare and the incredible bravery of those who served during one of the most pivotal moments in world history.

With the historic Charlestown Navy Yard as your backdrop, you might even spot active-duty sailors in uniform—an inspiring reminder that the legacy of service lives on.

After soaking in the maritime history and saying a patriotic farewell to Boston, we begin our journey home. Along the way, we’ll make planned Rest & Refreshment stops to stretch, recharge, and reflect on the unforgettable experiences of this journey. Tonight, we’ll settle in at a hotel en route.

Day 8

After a satisfying breakfast at the hotel, we continue our comfortable journey home. As we travel, enjoy the ride, complete with scenic views, great company, and the attentive care of your tour host. We’ll make our usual Rest & Refreshment stops, giving you time to stretch your legs, grab a snack, and enjoy the journey at a relaxed pace.

This evening, we’ll check into a comfortable hotel, where you can unwind, reflect on the highlights of your adventure, and enjoy a restful night before the final stretch home tomorrow.

Day 9

After an unforgettable journey through America’s Revolutionary past, it’s time to say farewell—for now. This morning, we board our Windstar Travel motorcoach one last time, hearts full and cameras packed with memories.

As we cruise toward home, take a moment to reflect on the incredible landmarks we explored, the stories that brought history to life, and the new friendships forged along the way. From walking the Freedom Trail to standing in the mist of Niagara Falls, and sailing past the majestic Tall Ships of Boston—this adventure has been one for the books.

We’ll make our usual Rest & Refreshment stops, along with a break for lunch on your own, as we travel comfortably back to your original departure point.

Though it’s always exciting to explore new places, there’s something special about the feeling of coming home—with amazing memories, new knowledge, and maybe a few souvenirs in tow.

Thank you for being part of the Boston Tall Ships Tour. We hope every moment brought you joy, inspiration, and a sense of wonder—and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard for your next adventure!
