Day 1
Our journey begins as we board the motorcoach and head east. Enjoy rest breaks and lunch on your own in East Peoria before continuing into Ohio. Tonight, settle into the Drury Inn & Suites Columbus Polaris. Dinner is included this evening at Brio Italian Grille, where classic Tuscan-inspired dishes are served in a warm, upscale setting.
Day 2
After breakfast, we continue through scenic countryside with stops for rest and lunch along the way. By evening, we arrive in Hershey, Pennsylvania and check into the Hershey Lodge, known for its warm hospitality (and chocolate-themed touches throughout!). Dinner tonight is at a local restaurant.
Day 3
Our day begins at The Hershey Story Museum, which tells the inspiring story of Milton Hershey’s life, from his early failures to his triumph as the man who revolutionized milk chocolate production. Learn about his lasting legacy of generosity and how the orphan boys of the Hershey Industrial School became heirs to his fortune.
Next, enjoy a visit to the Hershey Gardens, a 23-acre botanical paradise originally created by Milton Hershey in honor of his wife. Today, the gardens feature themed displays, a tropical butterfly atrium, and thousands of vibrant blooms.
This afternoon we continue into Lancaster County, Pennsylvania—heart of Amish Country—and check into the Tru by Hilton Lancaster East. This evening, enjoy dinner and a show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, where professional productions are paired with hearty American cuisine.
Day 4
Immerse yourself in Amish culture with a full day of unique experiences:
Amish Experience Guided Tour – Visit authentic Amish farms, schoolhouses, and markets that are not open to the general public. Learn firsthand about Amish traditions, values, and way of life, all set against the rolling farmland of Lancaster County.
Amish Buggy Ride – Step back in time with Aaron & Jessica’s Amish Buggy Rides, where horse-drawn carriages take you past immaculately kept Amish homesteads and gardens.
Magic & Wonder Dinner Theatre – Enjoy a fun, family-friendly performance that blends grand illusions, nostalgic music, and uplifting entertainment.
Plain & Fancy Farm Dinner – Feast on a traditional Amish meal featuring fried chicken, roast beef, meatloaf, brown butter noodles, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, homemade desserts, cole slaw, and fresh rolls with butter—all prepared from farm-fresh ingredients.
Day 5
After breakfast, enjoy a highlight of the trip—reserved seating at the Sight & Sound Theatre for the powerful biblical production of Joshua. With sweeping sets, live animals, and incredible performances, Sight & Sound brings the story of faith and leadership vividly to life.
Following the show, enjoy Lancaster’s original buffet lunch at Miller’s Smorgasbord, featuring Pennsylvania Dutch specialties and plenty of choices. This evening, travel to Dover, Ohio, where you’ll check into your hotel. Dinner tonight is on your own.
Day 6
Today begins with a fascinating stop at the Ernest Warther Museum & Gardens in Dover. Known as the “World’s Master Carver,” Ernest “Mooney” Warther created exquisite hand-carved steam locomotives, each crafted with astonishing detail. Tour the museum, his family home, and the beautifully landscaped gardens. A catered lunch is included on site.
This afternoon, continue into Middlebury, Indiana, and check into the Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center, part of the state’s largest Amish-style restaurant and shopping village. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus, where hearty Amish and Mennonite cooking is served in a welcoming, family-style setting.
Day 7
After breakfast, we begin our journey home, making rest and lunch stops along the way. Return with memories of Amish hospitality, rolling farmland, and heartfelt traditions that will stay with you for years to come.
