We begin our journey this morning with convenient local pickups before departing from Davenport aboard our comfortable, client-arranged motorcoach. As the Midwest landscapes roll past our windows, we settle in for a smooth and relaxing travel day, complete with rest stops and time to enjoy the company of fellow travelers.

Day 2
Day 2 – Wednesday, September 9
Wings of Freedom & The Road East
After breakfast, we begin our day at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the world’s largest military aviation museum. Here, history takes flight as you explore more than 350 aircraft, missiles, and artifacts that chronicle the evolution of American air power. From the earliest days of flight to modern aerospace technology, this inspiring museum honors the men and women who took to the skies in defense of our nation.
A boxed lunch allows us to continue our journey eastward through the rolling Appalachian landscape. This evening, we enjoy an included dinner before settling into our hotel in Somerset, Pennsylvania.
Day 3
Day 3 – Thursday, September 10
Miracles, Sacrifice & Courage
Today begins with a visit to the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site, where one of America’s most remarkable modern rescue stories unfolded. As you hear how nine miners were saved from deep underground against all odds, the story becomes a powerful reminder of teamwork, perseverance, and hope.
From there, we travel to the Flight 93 National Memorial, a deeply moving tribute to the forty passengers and crew whose bravery on September 11, 2001, prevented further devastation. This solemn site invites quiet reflection and gratitude for ordinary Americans who displayed extraordinary courage.
Continuing into Virginia, we visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, home to legendary aircraft including the Space Shuttle Enterprise and the Enola Gay. The sheer scale of innovation and service on display is breathtaking.
We conclude the day with dinner before checking into our Washington-area hotel, where we remain for the next several nights.
Day 4
Day 4 – Friday, September 11
Service, Sacrifice & Remembrance
On this significant date, we visit two of our nation’s most impactful military museums. At the National Museum of the United States Army, the story of over 240 years of Army service comes to life, honoring soldiers past and present and the role they played in shaping our country.
Next, the National Museum of the Marine Corps immerses visitors in the transformation of civilians into Marines. From boot camp to battlefield, the experience captures the heart of *Semper Fidelis*. The included film *We, the Marines* offers a stirring and emotional glimpse into Marine life.
The afternoon brings one of the most heartfelt moments of the tour: a guided experience at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico with the Missing in America Project. As flags are placed beside the graves of veterans who were once forgotten, participants take part in a moving act of remembrance that leaves a lasting impression.
We round out the day with a photo stop at the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial, honoring women whose courage reshaped American democracy, followed by dinner along the Occoquan waterfront.

We continue to The People’s House, an immersive White House experience, followed by a walk through historic Lafayette Square and a visit to the National World War I Memorial.
After lunch on your own, the afternoon unfolds with stops at the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, the soaring Air Force Memorial, and a contemplative journey through the Franklin D. Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Jefferson Memorials. Each site tells a story of leadership, justice, perseverance, and hope.
Dinner is enjoyed overlooking the rivers of Washington, D.C., before returning to the hotel for the evening.

A wreath-laying ceremony may be included, pending availability.
Next, we stop at the World War II Memorial, honoring the generation that preserved freedom across the globe.
The afternoon takes us to Mount Vernon, the beloved home of George Washington. Explore the museum galleries, enjoy lunch on your own, and tour the mansion where the Father of Our Country found respite from public life.
Our day continues with a uniquely immersive experience aboard the Tall Ship Providence, where history comes alive through storytelling, naval tradition, and hands-on exploration, followed by a cocktail reception.
