Located inside the beautifully restored Fort Armstrong Theatre in Rock Island, Circa ’21 pairs spectacular live entertainment with warm, vintage charm, intimate seating, and the kind of hospitality that keeps guests returning year after year. From ornate architectural details to its one-of-a-kind dinner-and-a-show experience, this historic venue promises an afternoon that is both immersive and entertaining.
Your visit begins with a delicious plated lunch served right at your table by the theatre’s beloved Bootleggers®—a singing, dancing, high-energy ensemble famous for their pre-show performances and warm, personable service. Their lively musical numbers set the tone for an afternoon filled with laughter, nostalgia, and excitement as you settle in for one of Broadway’s most entertaining rock musicals.
After lunch, the lights dim and the amps crank up for Rock of Ages, a larger-than-life celebration of the big-hair, big-heart, big-dream era of the late 1980s. The story unfolds on Hollywood’s iconic Sunset Strip at the legendary Bourbon Room, where Aqua Net, leather, lace, and power chords rule the night. Rock god Stacee Jaxx still reigns supreme, groupies line the stage hoping for their moment in the spotlight, and the party shows no signs of slowing down.
Amid the chaos, we meet Drew, a wannabe rock star who scrubs toilets by day and dreams of fame by night, and Sherri, a small-town girl fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes. Their paths collide just as a pair of German developers arrive with plans to bulldoze the Bourbon Room and replace the Strip’s gritty rock-and-roll soul with a sanitized, corporate shopping mall. As dreams, romance, and the future of the Strip hang in the balance, Drew, Sherri, and their ragtag group of rockers band together in a fight to save their beloved home of heart-pounding music and endless possibility.

Expectations: Little to no walking. Traveling at a leisurely pace, this itinerary requires a small amount of physical activity. Depending on the itinerary details, guests will need to be prepared to board a motorcoach, and possibly a boat, ferry, ship or plane. There will be some walking to rooms, cabins or restaurants and general points of interest. This may also include an occasional flight of stairs or some steps during transfers and stops.
Appropriate for: All travelers including those with lower mobility and who are comfortable participating in at least three hours of activity per day.
Deposit & Final Payment: A $30 deposit per person is required within one week of reservation. Must be paid in full by August 28, 2026.
No refunds will be issued after 5:00pm on August 8, 2026.
Payment Methods:
Cash, checks, credit/debit cards and money orders are accepted. Make checks payable to Windstar and mail to 3211 Division Street, Burlington, IA 52601. There is a $30 fee for insufficient funds or returned checks. Credit/debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard and Discover) are subject to a 4% processing fee.
Travel Protection:
We recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Please call to inquire about travel protection options.
A final departure letter packet will be sent approximately 7 to 10 days prior to the departure date. This will contain the scheduled departure times and locations, as well as other important information in regards to your upcoming tour. If the tour involves overnight accommodations, luggage tags will be provided as well.
Windstar Travel, parking lot owners and shopping center management assume and accept no responsibility for the safety of your vehicle or its contents at the place of departure. If you choose to park and leave your vehicle there, you do so willingly and at your own risk. If you choose to leave your vehicle, please park only in the areas designated in your final tour information packet. Vehicles not parked in the indicated areas may be subject to towing and all expenses incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
