Our holiday adventure begins as we travel east and settle in for the night in Maumee, Ohio. After checking into our comfortable hotel, we’ll gather for a relaxed welcome dinner at a classic Cracker Barrel, a cozy way to ease into the journey ahead. With bellies full and spirits lifted, we return to the hotel to rest up for the festive days to come.
Day 2
Day 2 – Sunday, December 6
Traveling Toward the Lights
After breakfast, we continue our journey through winter landscapes as anticipation builds with every mile. By evening, we arrive in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, where a hearty included dinner awaits. Tonight is about comfort, conversation, and the quiet excitement of knowing the Big Apple is just around the corner.
Day 3
Day 3 – Monday, December 7
Welcome to New York City!
This morning, we roll into New York City, where holiday magic greets us at every turn. With a knowledgeable local guide by our side, we dive right into the season with a visit to the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, a favorite for one-of-a-kind gifts and artisan treasures.
From there, we head to legendary Rockefeller Center, where you’ll enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, and soaking in the energy of Midtown Manhattan. The highlight of the afternoon is a visit to Top of the Rock, where breathtaking panoramic views stretch across the city skyline, offering a peaceful moment high above the holiday hustle.
After checking into our centrally located Times Square hotel, we enjoy dinner at Stella 34 Trattoria, located inside Macy’s flagship store, with views of the Empire State Building adding extra sparkle to the evening.
Tonight truly feels like Christmas as we set out on a Holiday Lights Walking Tour, featuring dazzling window displays, twinkling lights, and the world-famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. It’s a magical introduction to the city at its festive best.
Day 4
Day 4 – Tuesday, December 8
Markets, Macy’s & Broadway Magic
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading out to explore two of New York’s most beloved holiday markets. First, wander through the Grand Central Holiday Fair, set inside the iconic Vanderbilt Hall, where handcrafted gifts and festive finds await beneath soaring ceilings.
Next, we visit Bryant Park’s Winter Village, a European-style open-air market complete with charming kiosks, seasonal treats, and a free ice-skating rink that adds to the joyful atmosphere.
The afternoon brings a visit to Macy’s Santaland, a whimsical North Pole experience filled with festive décor, reindeer, and timeless holiday charm.
Dinner tonight is pure fun at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where singing waitstaff turn your meal into a show. Then, the curtain rises as we take our seats for an unforgettable Broadway performance. There’s nothing quite like Broadway at Christmas time
Day 5
Day 5 – Wednesday, December 9
Lady Liberty & Meaningful Moments
After breakfast, we enjoy a free morning in Times Square before heading downtown for a Liberty Super Express Cruise. Glide across New York Harbor for stunning views of the skyline, Ellis Island, and an up-close look at the Statue of Liberty, perfect for photos and memories.
Following lunch, we visit the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a powerful and moving experience that honors remembrance, resilience, and hope.
As evening approaches, we shift back into holiday mode at the lively Union Square Holiday Market, where more than 175 vendors offer festive shopping and delicious bites. Dinner is on your own here, allowing you to sample seasonal treats at your own pace.
Day 6
Day 6 – Thursday, December 10
Rockettes & A Sparkling Dinner Cruise
This morning is yours to enjoy at leisure before we head to Radio City Music Hall for a behind-the-scenes guided tour, followed by the legendary Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. Precision choreography, dazzling costumes, and timeless traditions make this a holiday highlight.
After refreshing at the hotel, the evening brings one of the most elegant experiences of the tour: a New York Bateaux Premier Dinner Cruise. Aboard a glass-enclosed yacht, enjoy fine dining, live music, and sweeping views of the illuminated skyline as iconic landmarks glide by. It’s an unforgettable way to celebrate the season.
Day 7
Day 7 – Friday, December 11
Farewell to the City
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Times Square for last-minute shopping and lunch before we begin our journey west. This evening, we stop for a comforting dinner at a charming family-style restaurant in Pennsylvania, then settle in for the night

Day 8 – Saturday, December 12
Cozy Comforts on the Way Home
Today we continue homeward, arriving in Indiana for a delightful overnight stay at the Essenhaus Inn. Dinner at Das Dutchman Essenhaus is a warm, hearty finale to a festive week filled with memories.
Day 9
Day 9 – Sunday, December 13
Home with Hearts Full
After breakfast, we make our final journey home, returning to Davenport by early afternoon. You’ll arrive back with festive photos, unforgettable experiences, and the kind of holiday memories that linger long after the decorations come down.

From Broadway lights and holiday markets to skyline views and classic Christmas traditions, this New York City Holiday Tour captures the spirit of the season in every moment. Seats are limited, and this is one holiday experience that fills quickly. Join us and make this December truly unforgettable.
Activity Level 3: MODERATE
Expectations: This tour requires light physical activity combined with shorter travel days. Tour members should expect intermittent walking, with occasional slight inclines and stair climbs, including boarding the motorcoach. Activities may include an occasional city or nature walking tour, stopping along the way. Guests should be able to climb a set of stairs, walk up or down slight slopes and navigate some uneven terrain or cobblestone. Please be aware that on tours with flights and cruises you will be required to handle your own luggage and walk longer distances in airports and cruise terminals. In addition, you may need to handle your own luggage at hotels where luggage handling is not available.
Appropriate for: Most travelers beginning with those who are moderately fit, lead semi-active lives, are comfortable participating in long days of activities and expect some physical exertion.
Deposit & Final Payment: A $150 deposit per person is required within one week of reservation. Must be paid in full by October 9, 2026.
No refunds will be issued after 5:00pm on September 26, 2026.

Cash, checks, credit/debit cards and money orders are accepted. Make checks payable to Windstar and mail to 3211 Division Street, Burlington, IA 52601. There is a $30 fee for insufficient funds or returned checks. Credit/debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard and Discover) are subject to a 3% processing fee.

We recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Please call to inquire about travel protection options.
A final departure letter packet will be sent approximately 10-14 days prior to the departure date. This will contain the scheduled departure times and locations, as well as other important information in regards to your upcoming tour. If the tour involves overnight accommodations, luggage tags will be provided as well.
Windstar Travel, parking lot owners and shopping center management assume and accept no responsibility for the safety of your vehicle or its contents at the place of departure. If you choose to park and leave your vehicle there, you do so willingly and at your own risk. If you choose to leave your vehicle, please park only in the areas designated in your final tour information packet. Vehicles not parked in the indicated areas may be subject to towing and all expenses incurred are the responsibility of the owner.
